It's 8:00 and there are 50,000 cars outside every restaurant in town. The crazy thing is it's a school night; it's not even a weekend! Looking for a parking place is a nightmare. "Oh, wait! There's one! Get it! Go, Go, Go!" Woo, take in the crisp air. The thing with a small town like ours though, the air you take in could be anything from cow fields to river water. Turn your head again to breath and you jump back to the reality of the packed lot of cars. Just being there you start to understand the feel of just how close everything is. The closeness hits you again, as you start to follow the smell of fresh food inside, smacking you with a line a mile long. This, although just as packed as any other place, is the new place in town. News here travels faster than a rocket. As you enter the room, laughter comes from everywhere. An array of smiles on each face you see.
Everyone seems to know everyone here. As you walk through the crowd, people start to call your name across the room. You see old familiar faces. Shaking hands with your church pastor, you turn and grin with glee at your best friend in the corner table. If you don't know anyone immediately, you might just manage to enter the conversation taking place at the next table. You may soon find yourself introducing your family to people you don't even know. Oh, the beauty of life in a small town!
