A broken man lays his bed in an ally way.
Closing his eyes awaiting a new day.
He sees the world and its people for what they are,
Monsters in a rat race trying to go far.
But what for?
Is he nothing more than a poor man begging at the door?
A rich man steps out of his million dollar home,
Thinking another day, another dollar.
He has never experienced what it is like
To lie beneath the filth of the cities collar,
But one day he stumbles across that man
Laying on the ground, dirt, and sand.
He hears his heart make an extra sound
As he bends down and offers a helping hand.
For compassion has unclouded his vision
Shining light on that which is unseen.
